Niamh Joyce-Wojtas B.A., LL.B., LL.M. holds an Irish law degree and a master’s degree in criminal justice. From 2011 to 2012, Niamh worked as a lawyer-linguist at the European Ombudsman’s Office in Strasbourg, France and she subsequently worked for the Ombudsman as a freelance lawyer-linguist. In her capacity as lawyer-linguist, she proofread and edited English-language decisions, draft recommendations and other documents for the European Ombudsman.

 

Niamh has previously worked as restorative justice researcher at University College Dublin and as a paralegal at Joyce & Co. Solicitors. She has also worked as a legal researcher for the National Commission on Restorative Justice, Department of Justice and Equality, Ireland. She has written and published several legal articles in law journals, including the European Journal of Crime, Criminal Law and Criminal Justice.

 

Currently, Niamh works on a freelance basis as a legal proofreader and researcher. She proofreads and edits legal documents and papers for legal professionals and organisations around the world. She also writes research papers and legal articles. Her experience and her professional goals have led to the successful establishment of «Joyce Legal Proofreading and Research Services». Niamh remains committed to her aim of meeting the ever-increasing demand for legal proofreading, editing and research services.
